What is a Steam Room?
Steam rooms use a combination of moisture and heat to promote a range of wellness benefits. From relaxation through to muscle recovery, steam rooms offer a rejuvenating ritual after a long week at work or a strenuous workout.
Much like a Sauna, users of a Steam Room simply need to sit and relax, allowing the gentle benefits of carefully controlled humid heat to wash over them.
Unlike our Infrared Sauna and Traditional Sauna experiences, a Steam Room uses wet heat to create a warm and humid environment. While a Sauna generates dry heat, a Steam Room embraces humidity and its associated health benefits.
The high humidity helps the body to relax and let go of stress naturally and gently. Our Steam Room treatment is offered as a 45 minute session for those who prefer to stay longer, or a 20 minute session for those who prefer a shorter time or would like to add it onto another complementary service.

Frequently Asked Questions
Both Steam Rooms and Traditional Saunas are heat treatments used for similar applications, but the heat source is the primary difference. A Sauna uses dry heat, created with infrared rays or water-doused rocks in traditional sauna treatments.
Your level of privacy is your choice. We offer solo sessions, as well as sessions for couples and groups of three. We do not, at present, offer public sessions, so you can relax knowing that you'll always be in the company of people you are comfortable with.
During a Steam Room service, as in a workout or Sauna, your body exudes sweat through your pores. This sweat dislodges impurities on the skin and contains traces of other impurities from within your body. 'Detoxifying' in this context can also refer to the removal of stress from within the body, as you relax and slow your heart rate, indulge in a few introspective moments, and embrace your inner calm.
Just like with any therapy or service, not all offerings will be suitable for everyone. Sauna and Steam Room treatments are unsuitable for those under the influence of alcohol, and can present risks to those with certain cardiac conditions. If you are unsure if a service will be right for you, please reach out, and we can assist you in finding an option that best suits you.
Our services are designed and timed in a way that maximises their benefits, so it's often not necessary for you to stay longer than the allocated time frame. Our timeframes allow for the service and ample changing/showering time as well. If you would like to stay longer or add another treatment, you will need to book another session before or after. Be sure to get in touch if you'd like to arrange an additional treatment at the same time as your Steam Room service, or if you have questions about complementary treatments you can add to your session.
We provide towels and all necessary amenities. You may want to bring a swimsuit for the services, or loose clothing if you are more comfortable in that.
Each service has the allocated time clearly marked at the time of booking, and we've allowed enough time for deep relaxation and rejuvenation. We offer sessions of both 20 minutes and 45 minutes, both of which you can book online, or get in touch to find out more.
Both methods offer various health and therapeutic benefits, as well as an opportunity to unwind and relax in a warm, comforting bathhouse environment. Saunas focus on detoxification and improved circulation through dry heat, while Steam Rooms use humid heat and water immersion to target muscle tension and promote relaxation. While they share some benefits, each is focused on different therapeutic needs, and you can try both to find out what works best for you and your body.
